Hotlanta Blues
Hotlanta Blues the name itself makes you want to go and sit in for a jam session. Being a person who was raise on the blues as well as other genres I was so happy to come into Hotlanta Blues and not just hear music but see a live band on stage performing! That alone gets some kudos, letting you know live means all the time not just certain times of the day.
I really enjoy the atmosphere at Hotlanta Blues, you feel like you are visiting old friends when you walk in and start your journey into the blues. I was very excited to hear a good gospel song "I shall not be moved" being performed as I entered. Good times and good people is all you will get at Hotlanta Blues.
I love the fact that Hotlanta Blues is uncompromising and sticks with the blues genre and won't let anything that isn't slide in. I don't know how many times I've gone to an event and then someone slips in some pop, not a good thing. There is an information card about the request process and how there isn't anything but blues allowed so read it carefully when you visit.
Hotlanta Blues is a fun and friendly place and the characters on stage are just that when I visited and peeked into profiles there is a sense of classic blues man all over them. As I said before I have an appreciation for the blues culture and you can have the wonderful experience of being fully emerged into the culture in all aspects from the ground floor to the second floor you will find something to do. There is also a billiards table to have a friendly game at when you visit, take a load of in Hotlanta Blues.
