Luskwood - furry avatars

Luskwood is an old standby for great avatars, and has become nearly synonymous with the furry scene in Second Life. I find myself returning to it every few years, and am still just as enchanted with the art styles of the avatars and the breathtaking decor. That's without even acknowledging the social scene, friendly helpers, and modding community that is centered there!

The giant tree is the same as I remember it, in most ways. The paths are clearly marked with several open areas along the way. There is a neat, nifty teleporter that links to most locations, and there were no errors when I used it. Luskwood is full of cute details, like pyramid infestations and witty signs describing the rules. Vendors are in the same style as the decor, but are in obvious, spacious areas.

The avatars have been a standard in the scene since their inception. They have clean, smooth textures and a toony style, with big, bright eyes and remarkably memorable faces. Luskwood carries many species, and many colors for each species. Most of what they carry are real-world species, but one can also find the lovely Kellashee, which exemplifies the clean colorations and great art style found in practically all Luskwood avatars. Most avatars cost 900 Linden Dollars, and have a lot of great features: such as animated blinking, color change control, and jaws that move when one types.

This location is also a huge draw for the furry community - Luskwood houses the vendors of many great avatar and mod creators, and there is almost always somebody standing around and talking in the social area just off the entrance. Many of these persons are friendly and very helpful, and there is usually a staff member or somebody affiliated with Luskwood on standby, or even casually enjoying the company of those around.

Luskwood is a friendly, accessible environment with great avatars, and even greater people.
