Wow, this campus is a pleasant surprise. When I first teleported onto a sim managed by and promoted by a college, I will admit I wasn't expecting much, but this place honestly nice. They have a lovely and architecturally interesting campus surrounded by rolling hills and mountains, all tastefully done. Anyone interested in landscaping should take a look around here just to take in the beautiful scenery.
Furthermore, there is just some good creative thinking going on here. Rather than make you wait for someone online and play the typical follow the leader tour, this sim has built an automatic tour bus that is actually fun to ride and read. Of course, they have also built a Segway rezzer for you independent types out there that is fun also. (Now if I can just hack the script to increase the speed.)
This University also comes with its own private sandbox, which coupled with the University’s option of living on campus, would make this and excellent first home for any newbie to Second Life. I really believe that they have something special on this little sim that people in Second Life could stand to better from.
Put all that together in a sim creating a sun filled Florida college campus and you definitely have a nice place that is change from the nightclubs and dungeons that dominate so much of Second Life. The walk from the sandbox to the main campus gives a person a great view of the campus. Really, and truly for the veteran looking for something new or for the newbie finding their way this is a great option.
