The Silent Darkness is anything ...

by Zatasha Zabaleta

The Silent Darkness is anything but silent. With bright colors, edgy design, a game room, functional decor, and a stream of hot music, The Silent Darkness is a great place to visit, even when there isn't anything going on.

The first thing one might notice is the red theme with silver accents. Much as the club claims in its description, it is bringing a dark look to contemporary clubs. Almost everything in the club is functional. Tip jars and dancing balls are left out, and the club isn't too big or too complex or confusing in layout. Considering that I came in when there wasn't an event going, I can only imagine how packed and fun this place gets.

Zelly certainly seems to know the rooms well. Zelly is a turtle that meanders the building, moving from the main room to a game room upstairs. I didn't follow Zelly long enough to know whether they had another stop, as I was a little bit transfixed by the view from the game room. The game room sits between two floors, and has sheer walls facing the main room of the club. It also contains a Greedy Greedy table, but has plenty of room for other activity.

Overall, this club is one I wouldn't be too afraid to join in on. The club claims friendliness, and is also hiring hosts and DJs. Maybe with a few other fresh faces in the crowd, one wouldn't be as afraid to dive into this friendly club environment that comes wrapped in silver, chains, and hot red lights and that isn't even acknowledging the swing that calls to you from above the DJ's booth.
